This is the condition of man in this world, as it is a place of trial and testing, and he must reassure himself of that and always be prepared, satisfied with the decrees of God, and patient with calamities. God Almighty said: {And We will certainly test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits. And give good tidings to those who are patient* who, when a calamity befalls them They say, “Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.” Those are upon them blessings from their Lord and mercy. And those are the ones who are guided. No sin or sin remains upon him. He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (The affliction of the believer, male and female, continues in his life, his children, and his wealth until he meets God, and he has no sin upon him); [2] The Muslim must always thank God that his calamity was not in his religion, and accept He should pray for him. Ibn Taymiyyah - may God have mercy on him - said: “A calamity that you accept from God is better for you than a blessing that makes you forget the remembrance of God.”[3]
