Supplications for humility in prayer

Leaving prayer

Prayer is the pillar of religion and the second pillar of Islam. It is the nourishment of the soul, the strength of the body, and the connection between the servant and his Lord. God Almighty has commanded us to adhere to it. [1] Abandoning prayer is considered one of the greatest major sins and one of the greatest sins that expels its perpetrator from the religion if it is intentional. It is a dangerous matter and not just a disobedience.[2] The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: (The covenant between us and them is prayer. Whoever abandons it has disbelieved),[3] and peace and blessings be upon him says: (Between a man and disbelief and polytheism is abandonment of prayer),[4]. ] Prayer is the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Resurrection, so this emphasis came on those who abandon prayer out of negligence or laziness. The servant must strictly adhere to the five daily prayers and stay away from everything that distracts us from prayer, [1] and follow everything that brings us closer to prayer and guides us to it. From turning to God Almighty with supplication and staying away from sins and transgressions, [5] and we must call upon our families, our children, and everyone who abandons prayer for guidance and righteousness, and command them to preserve it and warn them of the consequences of abandoning it. [1] The Almighty said: {And command your family to pray and be patient in it. We do not ask you for sustenance, we provide for you, and the outcome is for piety.[6]
