Prayer for my dead father

Praying for one’s father is a form of being kind to him, being kind to him, and having a good relationship with him. This includes praying for mercy and forgiveness for him after his death. Praying for one’s parents is one of the forms of maintaining ties of kinship, which is one of the reasons for increasing one’s livelihood and attaining blessings from him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said. -: “Whoever loves to have his livelihood expanded, and his path extended, let him maintain his ties of kinship.”[1][2]

“O God, forgive him and have mercy on him, pardon him and keep him well, honor his abode, widen his entrance, wash him with water, snow, and hail, and purify him of sins as a person is purified Remove the white from filth, and replace it with a better house than its own, and a better family than its family, and a better spouse than its spouse, and protect yourself from temptation. “O God, forgive our living and our dead, our young and our old, our males and our females, those of us who are present and our absent ones. O God, whoever among us You have brought to life, grant him life to follow faith, and whoever of us You have caused to die, cause him to die in Islam. “O God, under your protection is the jurisprudence of the trial of the grave and the torment of the Fire. You are worthy of loyalty and praise. O God, forgive him and have mercy on him. “O God, he is Your servant and the son of Your servant. He bore witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger, and You know him better than us. “Oh God, make my father, the companion of the Prophet, in the highest heaven.”

“O God, make him reassured in the depths of the grave, safe when the witnesses stand, and confident in the presence of Your pleasure, and to the highest level before You.”





“Oh God, put light on his right hand, so that you may send him safe and reassured in a light of your light.”





“Oh God, look at him with a look of contentment. Oh God, make him dwell in spacious Paradise, forgive him, O Most Merciful, and have mercy on him, O Most Merciful, and overlook what you know, O All-Knowing.”





“Oh God, pardon him. Oh God, he came at your door and embraced you beside you, so bestow upon him your pardon, your honor, and the presence of your benevolence.”







“Oh God, your mercy encompasses everything, so have mercy on him with a mercy that reassures his soul and soothes his eyes.”





“O God, this is your servant who has become under your protection and under your protection, so grant him your gardens and save him, O God, from your torment, for you are the people of truth and the people of mercy and loyalty, so have mercy on him and forgive him, for he has left the world and its vastness and separated from his family and loved ones.”

“Oh God, we do not praise him, but we think that he believed and did good deeds.”





“Oh God, intercede for him, our Prophet and your Chosen One, gather him under your banner, and give him a blissful drink from his honorable hand that he will never be thirsty again.”





“O God, he was patient with the affliction and did not panic, so grant him the rank of the patient, those who pay their wages in full without reckoning.”





“O God, grant him sweetness with every letter in the Qur’an, every word with dignity, with every verse with happiness, with every surah with safety, and with every part with reward.”





“O God, have mercy on him, for he was a Muslim, and forgive him, for he was a believer, and admit him to Paradise, for he was a believer in Your Prophet, and forgive him, for he was a reciter of Your Book.”





“O God, have mercy on us when certainty comes to us, sweat pours from our brows, and groaning and longing increase.”

“O God, accept his little and forgive his shortcomings. O God, make his illness an atonement for all his sins, and make his final torment the torment of this world. O God, make him firm with firm words, raise his rank, forgive his sins, and weigh his scales heavy. O God, give him an easy reckoning, O Most Merciful of His servants to themselves, and of a mother to her child.”





“O God, have mercy on those whose bodies are covered with shrouds, and make their graves the best place for their eyes to sleep until the Hour comes, and have mercy on us if we become what they have become. O God, have mercy on the good souls who moved to your neighborhood, forgive them, expand their graves, gather us with them in your gardens, and heal our hearts after them.”





A prayer for my dead father at his grave



“Oh God, this is your servant and the son of your servant. He left the soul of the world and its vastness, and his beloved and his loved ones in it, into the darkness of the grave and what he will find. He bore witness that there is no god but You, and that Muhammad is your servant and Messenger, and you know him best. Oh God, he descended upon you and you are the best descendant of him, and he became poor. To Your mercy, and You are free of his torment, and we have come to You seeking to You as intercessors for him. O God, if he is a doer of good, increase his benevolence, and if he is an abuser, then overlook him. Protect him from the trial and torment of the grave, and make his grave spacious for him, and dry the earth from his sides.”





“Oh God, have mercy on my father under the dirt, and make him happy in Jannatul Firdaus as he made me happy, and I seek refuge in God from a world devoid of my loved ones.”





“Oh God, have mercy on those whose separation is too great for me. O Lord, my father is the most precious person I lost. Have mercy on him with your mercy and unite me with him, O Lord of the worlds.”





“O God, reward my father for his benevolence with kindness, and for his abuse with pardon and forgiveness.”





“My Lord, my father is not with me, but he is in my heart and in my prayers. He has moved to your side, O you who are the most generous and kindest of neighbours.”





“O God, make my father’s grave wide, widen his sight, and spread his grave from the bed of Paradise. O God, replace my father with a better house than his house, and a better family than his family, and admit him to Paradise, and protect him from the torment of the grave, and from the torment of the Fire.”





“Oh God, my father bore witness that there is no god but You, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger, and You know him best, so have mercy on him.”





“Oh God, move him from the places of worms and the narrowness of sorrows, to the gardens of eternity.”







“O God, have mercy on him under the earth, and cover him on the day of his display, and do not disgrace him on the day they are resurrected, the day when neither wealth nor children will benefit except those who come to God with a sound heart.”





“O God, protect him from the terror of the Day of Resurrection, and from the terror of the Day of Resurrection, and make his soul safe and reassured, and teach him his proof.”





Oh God, give him good news by saying, “Eat and drink happily, as you have mentioned in the past days.”
