Prayers and fortifications

Supplications and fortifications are varied in the life of a Muslim, and include various conditions, in his morning, evening, sleep, wakefulness, food, drink, entry, and exit. Some of them are specific at specific times and circumstances, and some are general at any time he wishes. The first purpose of supplications is Fortifications are drawing close to God Almighty, not resorting to anyone but Him, not holding fast except to Him, and not believing in harm or benefit except from Him, so that his soul will be calm and reassured, far from the whispers of Satan, and satisfied with what God has destined for it. God Almighty said: {Those who believe and whose hearts are at peace in the remembrance of God. Indeed, in the remembrance of God are hearts at peace}, [1] so the Muslim must adhere to it, as it is food and medicine for his soul, and it helps him overcome everything that affects him Despair and weakness seep into him, for some of them are It is a fortification for the self, including what includes family, children, and Muslims in general. After supplicating according to what is contained in the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, he may strive to use whatever supplications and fortifications he wishes that do not contradict the correct words, and are not tinged with polytheism and sorcery.[2]




Supplications and fortifications from the Holy Quran



{Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Ever-Subsisting. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Who is there who can intercede with Him? Not by His permission. He knows what is before them and what is behind them. They do not encompass any of His knowledge except what He wills. His Throne extends as wide as the heavens. And the earth - and their preservation will not tire Him - and He is the Most High, the Great.} [Surat Al-Baqarah, verse: 255]





{Say: He is God, the One. * God, the Eternal, the Eternal. He begot not, nor was He begotten. * And there is no one equal to Him.} [Surat Al-Ikhlas, verse: 1-4]





{Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of Creation* from the evil of what He has created* and from the evil of the darkness when it approaches* and from the evil of blowing at the knots* and from the evil of the envier when he envies}. [Surat Al-Falaq, verse: 1-5]





{Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the people* the King of the people* the God of the people* from the evil of the deceitful whisperer* who whispers into the hearts of the people* from Paradise and the people.} [Surat An-Nas, verse: 1-6]





{Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire}. [Surat Al-Baqarah, verse: 201]





{Our Lord, pour upon us patience, and make our feet firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people}. [Surat Al-Baqarah, verse: 250]





{Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, and do not place upon us a burden as You placed upon those before us. Our Lord, and do not burden us with what is due to us We cannot bear it. And pardon us and forgive us and have mercy on us. You are our master, so help us against the disbelieving people.} [Surat Al-Baqarah, verse: 286]





{Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us mercy from You. Indeed, You are the Granter.} [Surat Al Imran, verse: 8]





{Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the torment of the Fire}. [Surat Al Imran, verse: 16]





{My Lord, grant me from Yourself good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.} [Surat Al Imran, verse: 38]





{Our Lord, we have believed in what You have sent down, and we have followed the Messenger, so we are recorded with the witnesses.} [Surat Al Imran, verse: 53]





{Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our extravagance in our affairs, and make firm our feet, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people}. [Surat Al Imran, verse: 147]





{Our Lord, what you created, this is a vicinity, so we have the torment of the fire. Performed by faith, he believes that they believe in your Lord, so we believe in us. On Your Messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You will not break your promise.} [Surat Al Imran, verse: 191-194]





{Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people}. [Surat Al-A'raf, verse: 47]





{Our Lord, pour upon us patience and cause us to die submitting}. [Surat Al-A'raf, verse: 126]





{Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but Him. In Him I trust. And He is the Lord of the Great Throne.} [Surat al-Tawbah, verse: 129]





{Our Lord, do not make us a test for the wrongdoing people.* And save us, by Your mercy, from the disbelieving people.} [Surat Yunus, verse: 85-86]





{My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. Otherwise, You forgive me and have mercy on me, I will surely be among the losers.} [Surat Hud, verse 47]





{My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer and of my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day when the account is established.} [Surat Ibrahim, verse 40-41 ]





{My Lord, admit me to an entrance of truthfulness, and bring me out to an exit of truthfulness, and give me from Yourself an authority and helper.} [Surat Al-Isra, verse: 80]





{Our Lord, bestow upon us mercy from Yourself and provide for us guidance in our affairs.} [Surat al-Kahf, verse: 10]





{My Lord, expand for me my breast* and make my affairs easy for me* and loose the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech.} [Surat Taha, verse: 25-28]





{My Lord, increase me in knowledge}. [Surat Taha, verse: 114]





{My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the instigations of the devils.* And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present.} [Surat Al-Mu’minun, verse: 97-98]





{Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best of the Merciful}. [Surat Al-Mu’minun, verse: 109]





{My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of the Merciful}. [Surat Al-Mu’minun, verse: 118]





Supplications and fortifications from the Prophet’s Sunnah for the soul



(O God, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your grace upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins except You.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, In Sahih Al-Nasa’i, on the authority of Shaddad bin Aws, page or number: 5537, Sahih.]





(O God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Lord of everything and its Sovereign. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself, and from the evil of Satan and his polytheism.) [Narrated by Ibn Daqiq, in Al-Muqaddah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 128, true.]





(I seek refuge in the perfect words of God from the evil of what He has created). [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Jami’, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 1318, authentic hadith.]





(In the name of God, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can be harmed, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.) [Narrated by Abu Dawud, in Sunan Abi Dawud, on the authority of Othman bin Affan, page or number: 5088, a hadith about which Abu Dawud remained silent and said in his message to the people of Mecca Whatever He is silent about is valid.]





(O God, grant me health in my body, O God, grant me health in my hearing, O God, grant me health in my sight. There is no god but You. O God, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave. There is no god but You.) [Narrated by Al-Suyuti, in Al-Jami’ Al-Saghir, on the authority of Abu Bakra Nafi` ibn al-Harith, page or number: 1504, authentic.]





(O God, I ask you for well-being in this world and the hereafter. O God, I ask you for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my world, my family, and my money. O God, cover my faults and secure my splendor. O God, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness � That he be assassinated from under me.) [Narrated by Al-Nawawi, in Al-Athkar, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, page or number: 111, the hadith of its chain of transmission is authentic.]





(O Ever-Living, O Ever-Living, by Your mercy I seek help. Reconcile all my affairs for me, and do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Targheeb, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, page or number: 661, a good hadith.]





(O God, You created me, and You guide me, and You feed me, and You give me drink, and You make me die, and You give me life.) [Narrated by Al-Mundhiri, in At-Targhib wa-Tarheeb, on the authority of Samra bin Jundub and Abdullah bin Sulaym, page or number: 314, its chain of transmission is good.]





(I seek refuge in the words of God, the completes that are not perished by righteousness or abandonment, from the evil of what He created, dared and shouted, and from the evil of what he descends from the sky, and from the evil of what he is brought up in, and from the evil of what he died in the earth, and from the evil of the earth, and from the evil of the earth, And from the evil of every Tariq, except the Tariq, who approaches with goodness, Most Merciful). [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Al-Silsilah Al-Sahihah, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Khanbash, page or number: 2995, its chain of transmission is Hasan.]





(O God, I seek refuge in Your satisfaction from Your displeasure, in Your pardon from Your punishment, and in You from You I cannot count your praise. You are just as you praised yourself.) [Narrated by Ibn Taymiyyah, in Majmu’ al-Fatawa, on the authority of Aisha, Mother of the Believers, page or number: 144, authentic.] Oh God, I ask You that praise be to You, there is no god but You, the Benefactor, Creator of the heavens and the earth, O Possessor of majesty and honor, O Ever-Living, O Sustaining One.[38]





(O God, I seek refuge in Your noble face and Your perfect words, from the evil of what You are taking by the corner. O God, You remove debt and sin. O God, Your army will not be defeated, Your promise will not be broken, and no one who is serious will benefit from You. Glory be to You and with Your praise.) [Narrated by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, In Graduation from Mishkat al-Masabi, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, page or number: 475, a good hadith.]





(I seek refuge in the face of God Almighty, than whom there is nothing greater, and in the perfect words of God, which neither the righteous nor the ungodly can surpass, and in the most beautiful names of God, what I know of them and what I do not know, from the evil of what He created, created, and acquitted, and from the evil of every evil that I cannot endure. His evil, and from the evil of every evil person, my Lord, You are taking him by his forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.) (O God, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. You judge between Your servants in that in which they differed. Guide me to the truth in that in which they differed, by Your leave. You guide whomever You will to a straight path.) [Narrated by Muslim, in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Aisha, Mother of the Believers, page or number: 770, authentic.]





(O God, keep me away from my sins, as You have distanced between the East and the West. O God, purify me from my sins as a white garment is purified from filth. O God, wash me away from my sins with ice, water, and hail.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Nasa’i, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number. :60, true.]





(O God, put light in my heart, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light on my right, light on my left, light in front of me, light behind me, light above me, light below me, and make light for me.) [Narrated by Muslim, in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Abdul Allah bin Abbas, page or number: 763, authentic.]





(O God, I am your servant, the son of your servant, the son of your female slave, my forelock is in your hand, your judgment is continuing over me, your decree is just for me, I ask you, O God, with every name that is yours that you have named yourself with, or revealed in your book, or taught to anyone of your creation, or kept secret in the knowledge of the unseen with you. That you make the Qur’an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness, and the release of my anxiety and grief.) [Narrated by Ibn Uthaymeen, in Majmo’ Fatawa Ibn Uthaymeen, on the authority of Abdullah bin Saud, page or number: 466, the hadith of its chain of transmission is authentic.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from demolition, I seek refuge in You from deterioration, I seek refuge in You from drowning, burning, and old age, I seek refuge in You from Satan stumbling upon me at death, I seek refuge in You from dying in Your cause, retreating, and I seek refuge in You from dying with a sting.) [Narrated Al-Albani, in Sahih Abi Dawood, on the authority of Ka’b bin Amr, page or number: 1552, Sahih.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, and from his whispering, hissing, and his breathing.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Ibn Majah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, page or number: 665, Sahih.]





(I seek refuge in the perfect words of God from His wrath, from His punishment, from the evil of His servants, and from the promptings of the devils and from their presence.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Tirmidhi, on the authority of Amr bin Shuaib’s grandfather, page or number: 3528, a good hadith.]





(O God, Lord of the seven heavens, Lord of the Great Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, You are the Manifest, and there is nothing above You, and You are the Inward, and there is nothing below You. You sent down the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion, so give up love and intentions. I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything, You are the first Not before you One thing, and you are the last, and there is nothing after you. Pay off our debt and enrich us from poverty.) [Narrated by Shuaib Al-Arna’ut, in the narration of Sahih Ibn Hibban, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 966, authentic.]





(O God, grant me enjoyment of my hearing and my sight until You make them my heir, and grant me health in my religion and my body, and grant me victory over those who wronged me until You show me my revenge for him.) [Narrated by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, in Naqati’at Al-Afkar, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, page or number: 87, good and narrated by him. Trustworthy.]





(O God, preserve me with Islam while standing, protect me with Islam while sitting, protect me with Islam while lying down, and do not let the enemy or the envious gloat over me. O God, I ask You for every good thing whose treasures are in Your hand, and I seek refuge in You from every evil whose treasures are in Your hand.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Jami’, on the authority of Abdullah Bin Masoud, page or number: 1260, good hadith.]





(O God, I have surrendered my face to You, and I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have turned my back to You, out of desire and fear for You. There is no refuge or refuge from You except in You. O God, I have believed in Your Book which sent down, and by Your Prophet whom You sent). [Narrated by Al-Bukhari, in Sahih Al-Bukhari, on the authority of Al-Baraa bin Azib, Page or number: 247, correct.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You lest I go astray or go astray, or slip or be led astray, or be wronged or be wronged, or be ignorant or be treated ignorantly.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Abi Dawud, on the authority of Umm Salamah, Mother of the Believers, page or number: 5094, Sahih.]

(O God, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, leprosy, and other bad diseases). [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Abi Dawood, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, page or number: 1554, Sahih.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from an evil neighbor in the abode of residence.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Targheeb, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 2556, a good hadith.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is not beneficial, from a heart that is not humble, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not heard.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Nasa’i, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 5552, authentic.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from worry and sadness, inability and laziness, cowardice and miserliness, the burden of debt, and the dominance of men). [Narrated by Al-Bukhari, in Sahih Al-Bukhari, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, page or number: 6369, Sahih.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from the dominance of debt, the dominance of the enemy, and the gloating of enemies). [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Jami’, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, page or number: 1296, Sahih.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from evil morals, deeds, desires, and diseases.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Jami’, on the authority of Qutba bin Malik, page or number: 1298, authentic hadith.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from hunger, for it is wretched to suffer, and I seek refuge in You from betrayal, for it is wretched in distress.) [Narrated by Abu Dawud, in Sunan Abi Dawud, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 1547, a hadith about which Abu Dawud was silent, and he said in His message to the people of Mecca: Whatever he is silent about is valid.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, senility, cruelty, heedlessness, poverty, humiliation, and poverty, and I seek refuge in You from poverty, disbelief, immorality, discord, hypocrisy, reputation and hypocrisy, and I seek refuge in You from deafness, mutism, madness, leprosy, and leprosy. (O God, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your grace, the change in Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your anger.) [Narrated by Muslim, in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, page or number: 2739, authentic.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the temptation of life and death, and from the evil of the temptation of the Antichrist.) [Narrated by Muslim, in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, p Or number: 588, correct.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of my semen.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Tirmidhi, on the authority of Shakl bin Hamid Al-Absi, page or number: 3492, authentic hadith.]





(O God, I seek refuge in You from the bad day, from the bad night, from the bad hour, from the bad companion, and from the bad neighbor in the residence.) [Narrated by Al-Haythami, in Majma’ al-Zawa’id, on the authority of Uqba bin Aamer, page or number: 223, its men are trustworthy.]





(O God, I ask You for all goodness, the present and the present, what I have learned of and what I did not know, and I seek refuge in You from all evil, the present and the present, the present and the present, what I have known and what I did not know. O God, I ask You for the good that Your servant and your Prophet have asked You, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of which He has sought refuge. From him is Your servant and your Prophet. O God, I ask You for Paradise and the words and deeds that bring me closer to it, and I seek refuge in You from Hell and the words or deeds that bring me closer to it, and I ask You to make every decree You have made for me good.) (O God, I seek refuge in You from associating partners with You while I know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Jami’, on the authority of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, page or number: 3731, authentic.]





Various supplications and fortifications for parents and children



(O God, make peace between us, reconcile our hearts, guide us to the path of peace, deliver us from darkness to light, and keep us away from immoral acts, both apparent and hidden. O God, bless for us our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring, and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Most Merciful. And make us thankful for Your blessing, praising it, accepting it, and complete it upon us.) [Narrated by Al-Suyuti, in Al-Jami’ Al-Saghir, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, page or number: 1476, authentic.]





(I seek refuge for you both with the perfect words of God, from every devil and creature, and from every evil eye.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Al-Tirmidhi, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas, page or number: 2060, Sahih.]





“O God, we ask you, with your beautiful names and your perfect words, to forgive us and the Muslims every sin, cover for us every defect, remove from us every distress, avert from us every affliction, recover us from every temptation, adversity, and hardship in both worlds, and fulfill every need for us in them. Who is God, besides whom there is no god, O Knower of the unseen and the witnessed?





“O God, make our families, our wives, our sons, our daughters, and our families, guides and guided, neither astray nor misguided. O God, make faith beloved to them and beautify it in their hearts, and make disbelief, immorality, and disobedience hateful to them. O God, guide them to the best of morals, and no one guides to the best of them except You, and turn away from them their bad, and no one can turn away from their bad except You. Oh God, grant victory to your religion, raise your banner, and heal the hearts of a believing people. Oh God, O converter of hearts, make our hearts and their hearts firm on your religion.”





“O God, lower their gazes from the forbidden, restrain their limbs from the forbidden, purify their livelihood and livelihood from the forbidden, and distance them from the forbidden as You distanced the East from the West.”





“Oh God, protect them from before them, from behind them, from their right, from their left, from above them, and from below them.”





“Oh God, protect them from the evil of diseases, illnesses, and desires.”





“Oh God, protect us and them from illnesses, epidemics, and diseases.”





“O God, we seek refuge in You from the evil of every evil person whose evil they cannot tolerate.”





“O God, protect our fathers and mothers from all evil, O God, and be pleased with them, granting them Your satisfaction, and making them the abode of Your honor and security, and the places of Your pardon and forgiveness, and bestow upon them the abundance of Your blessings and benevolence. O God, and be kind to them as they were kind to us when we were young. O God, preserve for them that affection.” With which their hearts were imbued, and the tenderness with which their chests were filled, and the kindness with which their limbs were occupied, O God, and do not inform them of our news that will displease them, and do not burden them with Our burdens that which distress them, O God, make us the comfort of their eyes, and make them among us among the most detested of fathers with children, until you gather us, them, and all Muslims in The abode of Your honor, the abode of Your mercy, and the abode of Your saints, with those whom You have bestowed blessings of the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. And those are good companions. That is the grace of God, and God is sufficient as Knower.”





“O God, bless my children for me, guide them to obey You, and grant me their righteousness. O God, O teacher of Moses and Adam, teach them, O one who understands Solomon, they understand them, O giver of wisdom and decisiveness to Luqman, give them wisdom and decisiveness of speech. O God, teach them what they are ignorant of, remind them of what they have forgotten, and open to them the blessings of heaven and earth. Hearer and answerer of prayers. Oh God, I ask you for the strength of memory, speed of understanding, and clarity of mind. Oh God, make them guided and guided, neither lost nor led astray. Oh God, make faith beloved to them and beautify it in their hearts, and hate disbelief, immorality, and disobedience to them, and make them among the rightly guided. Oh God, make them the luckiest of Your servants in this world and the hereafter. Oh God, make them among your friends and special ones whose light shines before them and they have no fear nor do they grieve. Oh God, forgive their sins. Oh God, purify their hearts. Oh God, fortify their chastity. Oh God, improve their morals and fill their hearts with light and mercy, and make them eligible to accept every blessing, and reform them and reform the nation through them.
