Friday prayers

Friday has great virtue and blessing. As there is double reward and blessed work, and it is one of the days in which it is recommended to do a lot of good deeds, supplications, and dhikr. This does not mean that there are supplications or dhikrs that differ from those on the rest of the days. Rather, the daily dhikrs and supplications that a Muslim is keen on are the same as those said during Friday; Such as morning and evening remembrances, prayer remembrances, sleep, and other daily remembrances, except that Friday is designated for some supplications and deeds. For His grace and blessing.[1]

Friday prayers and deeds

Supplication on Friday: Scholars said that on Friday there is an hour that will be answered. Therefore, it is befitting for a Muslim to investigate this time, and it was mentioned in the hadith that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, mentioned Friday and said: (There is an hour in it when a Muslim servant is standing and praying, asking God for something, but He gives it to him, and the Messenger of God indicated with his hand to shorten it.) [Narrated by Ibn Abd al-Barr, in the introduction, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, page or number: 19/17, authentic connected.] .[3]

Reciting Surat Al-Kahf: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: (Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on a Friday, light will shine for him between the two Friday prayers). [Narrated by Al-Suyuti, in Al-Jami’ Al-Saghir, on the authority of Abu Saeed, page or number: 8910, authentic. .]

Praying a lot for the Messenger, peace be upon him: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: (Indeed, one of the best days of yours is Friday, on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the blast will be blown, and on it the thunderbolt, so pray a lot for me on it, for your prayers will be presented to me.) [Narrated by Al-Albani, in Sahih Abi Dawud, on the authority of Aws bin Abi Aws, and it was said that Aws bin Aws was the father of Amr, page or number: 1047, authentic.]

Prayer on Friday after noon

O God, praise be to You, a great, good and blessed praise. O God, praise be to You as it befits the majesty of Your face and the greatness of Your power. O God, praise be to You according to the number of Your creation, the satisfaction of Yourself, the weight of Your throne, and the ink of Your words. O God, praise be to You until You are satisfied, and praise be to You for being satisfied.

Oh God, O Ever-Living, O Ever-Living, O Possessor of Majesty and Honour, guide us in whom You have guided, pardon us in whom You have pardoned, and remove from us, by Your mercy, the evil of what You have decreed. Indeed, You decree with truth, and You cannot be decreed. We believe in Your Book which You have revealed, and in Your Prophet whom You have sent, so forgive us for what we have put forward and what we have delayed. And We have not concealed and what We have declared, and You do not know it. You are the advancer and You are the latter and You are capable of all things.

Oh God, we ask You that praise be to You. There is no god but You, the Compassionate, the Benevolent, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, the Possessor of Majesty and Honor, with Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

There is no god but God, the Great, the Forbearing, there is no god but God, Lord of the Great Throne, there is no god but God, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the Earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.

Praise be to God, whose grace can only be hoped for, and no one provides for anyone other than Him. God is Great, there is nothing like Him on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

Oh God, You are the Forbearing, so do not rush, You are the Generous, so do not be stingy, You are the Mighty, so do not humiliate, You are the Invincible, so do not be denied, You are the Provider, so do not oppress, and You are Powerful over all things. Oh God, do not deprive us while we call upon You, and do not disappoint us while we hope in You, O God, have mercy on us with Your mercy.

Oh God, do not hold us accountable for what the foolish among us did. Oh God, do not treat us with what we deserve and treat us with what you deserve.

O God, open for us the treasures of Your mercy. O God, have mercy on us and do not torture us after that in this world and the hereafter, and grant us, from Your vast bounty, lawful and good sustenance, and do not make us needy or impoverish us to anyone but You, and increase our gratitude to You, and to You is poverty and need, and to You in wealth and chastity from those other than You.

O Lord, on Friday, you promised your servants to accept their prayers. O God, grant us what we want, and grant our hearts what you want, and make us as you want. O God, decree this for us before the Friday sun allows it to set.

A short prayer on Friday

Oh God, we ask You for Paradise and we seek refuge in You from Hell.

O God, do not deprive us of the breadth of Your mercy, the fullness of Your grace, the comprehensiveness of Your well-being, and the abundance of Your giving. Do not withhold from us Your gift for our bad deeds, and do not reward us for the ugliness of our deeds, and do not turn Your honorable face away from us with Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

Oh God, do not turn your face away from us on the day we meet you. Oh God, do not expel us from your door. Who is ours, O Lord, if you expel us, O Lord of the worlds, and O Most Merciful of the Merciful?

Oh God, there is no guide for whom You have led astray, no Giver of what You have withheld, no deterrence of what You have given, no Extender of what You have seized, no advancer of what You have delayed, and no delayer of what You have given.

O God, O Provider of those who ask, O Merciful of the poor, O Possessor of strength and strength, O Best of helpers, O Protector of the believers, O Helper of those who call for help, You we worship and You we seek help, O God, we ask You for an ample and good provision from Your provision.

Oh God, make our tongues full of your remembrance, our hearts with your fear, and our secrets with your obedience. You are capable of everything. God is sufficient for us and He is the best disposer of affairs.

Oh God, grant us the pleasure of looking at your honorable face, and the longing to meet you, not lost, not misguided, and not tempted. Oh God, keep us under your shade on the day when there is no shade except your shade.

O God, we submit to You, and in You we believe, and in You we trust, and in You we dispute and to You is our judge, so forgive us what we have put forward and what we have delayed, and what we have concealed and what we have declared, and You are the advancer and You are the latter. There is no god but You, the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Inward, in You we place our trust and You are the Lord of the Great Throne.

Oh God, the light of the heavens and the earth, the pillar of the heavens and the earth, the mighty of the heavens and the earth, the judge of the heavens and the earth, the heir of the heavens and the earth, the owner of the heavens and the earth, the great of the heavens and the earth, the knower of the heavens and the earth, the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, the Most Merciful of the world and the Merciful. Hereafter, O God, to You we extend our hands, and in You our desire is great, so accept our repentance, have mercy on the weakness of our strength, forgive our sins, accept our apology, and make for us a share of every good thing, and a path to every good thing, with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

Oh God, on this blessed Friday morning, make the coming days easy for us and our loved ones, send us all goodness, keep away from us what harms us, and protect us and those we love from all harm.

Friday dawn prayer for sustenance and fulfillment of needs

Oh God, I beg you in your name, the one, the single, the steadfast, and in your great name, to relieve me of what I have been in, and in which I have become, so that my thoughts and delusions are not clouded by the dust of fear of anyone other than you, and I am not distracted by the trace of hope from anyone other than you. Reward me, reward me, reward me, O God.

Oh God, I ask you, O reliever of worries, O remover of grief, answerer of the prayer of the distressed, Most Compassionate and Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, I ask You to have mercy on me with a mercy from You that will make me free from the mercy of anyone else.

Oh God, I put my trust in You, so provide for me and protect me, and in You I take pleasure, so save me from what harms me. You are my suffice and the best disposer of affairs.

Praise be to God, for whom there is no hope except for His grace, and for whom there is no sustenance other than Him. God is Great, there is nothing like Him on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

Oh God, remove from me every affliction, O Knower of every hidden thing, O remover of every affliction, help me, help me, I pray to you, O Lord, the supplication of one whose distress is severe, whose strength is weakened, and whose resourcefulness is diminished, the supplication of a drowning person in distress.

Oh God, I ask you, do not leave me a sin except that you forgive it, nor a worry that you do not relieve, and do not leave any need that is your satisfaction except that you fulfill it, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.

Oh God, You are the First and there is nothing before You, and You are the Last and there is nothing after You, and You are the Manifest and there is nothing above You, and You are the Inward and there is nothing below You. Pay off our debt and enrich us from poverty.

Oh God, the Judge of needs and the Answerer of prayers, I ask you to fulfill my needs.

Glory be to Him who relieves every debtor, Glory be to Him who relieves every sad person, Glory be to Him who places His treasures between the Kaf and the Nun, Glory be to Him who, when He wants something, says to it, “Be” and it is, O Reliever of relief, O Reliever of relief, O Reliever of relief, O Reliever of relief, relieve me of my anxiety. And find relief sooner than later, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.
