Amber is a substance that comes out of the belly of the whale known as the amber whale . Amber is a gray, white, yellow or black substance that is used in preparing and manufacturing the best and most expensive perfumes.

The sperm whale lives in the oceans and eats whatever sea creatures it wants. The sperm whale is distinguished by its huge head, and the male may reach 20 meters in length. The female whale is smaller, about half the size of the male.

Amber is the vomit of the whale that comes out of its belly. The best quality amber is the strong gray, then blue, then yellow, and the lowest quality is black. Amber cheating usually increases by adding plaster and wax to it.

Chemical properties

Amber is practically insoluble in water and amber is not affected by acids. On the other hand, white crystals of a terpene substance called ambrine (amberin) are obtained when raw amber is heated in alcohol and then by a recrystallization process.

Oxidation of amberin, which is almost odorless, breaks down the compound into ambroxan and amphrinol, the ingredients that give amber its distinctive scent.

Ambroxan can be obtained synthetically, which is used extensively in the perfume industry
