Envy is a reprehensible human nature. It creates hatred and resentment between people and breaks the bond of affection and love. Islamic law has warned against this reprehensible behavior. Because if it reaches the hearts, it corrupts them and destroys them. It is one of the deadly sins that leads its perpetrator to wish for the disappearance of the blessings that God Almighty has bestowed upon His servants. God - Glory be to Him - has condemned envy and the envious in the Holy Qur’an, and commanded His Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - to seek refuge from their evil. In the words of God Almighty: {And from the evil of the envier when he envies},[1] envy only comes from those of weak faith, and in order to ward off their plots and envy, we must adhere to the remembrances and supplicate to God Almighty to turn away their plots and cause them to be slaughtered, for He has power over all things.[2]
