Humility is a characteristic that makes a Muslim enjoy his prayers, remember God in his seclusion, and receive the reward in full. God Almighty described the believers who are humble in their prayers as successful, saying: (Indeed, the believers have succeeded * those who are humble in their prayers), [1] and one of the most important reasons for the lack of humility in prayer. The mind and heart are preoccupied with worldly affairs and pleasures and do not stop from them when starting to pray and standing before God Almighty. Some people try hard to reach a state of humility in their prayers. This is done by providing the reasons that lead to this, and in this article, we will discuss the most important supplications that help in gaining humility in prayer in order to achieve the satisfaction of God - Glory be to Him -.




Various supplications for humility in prayer



(O God, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, miserliness, senility, the torment of the grave, and the temptation of the Antichrist. O God, grant my soul its piety, and purify it. You are better than those who purify it. You are its guardian and master. O God, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is not beneficial, and from a heart that does not submit, and from A soul that is not satisfied, and a supplication that is not answered.) “O God, grant me a humble prayer, protect me from the evil of my soul, and resolve for me to guide my affairs. O God, forgive me what I concealed, what I declared, what I made mistakes, what I deliberately did, and what I was ignorant of.”





“O God, I ask You for a humble heart, steadfastness in matters, and determination to attain righteousness, and I ask You for gratitude for Your grace and good worship of You, and I ask You for a sound heart and a sincere tongue, and I ask You for the good of what You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what You know.”





“O God, forgive me for all my sins, big and small, great and insignificant. Oh God, do not let my sin stand between me and your mercy, and do not deprive me of standing before you. My Lord, you know my condition and what my fate will lead to, so open my heart and mind to humility before your hands, understand your verses, and contemplate your book, and open for me. You are the All-Knowing Conqueror.”





“O God, I seek refuge in You from an heedless soul and a heart distracted from your remembrance and verses. O God, do not make me a body without a heart in my prayers. O God, do not make the world in my eyes greater than my standing before you and greater than my prayers for you. Indeed, you are the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful.”





“O God, keep me busy in my prayer with what You created me for and what You commanded me to do, and do not keep me busy with what You created for me. Oh God, I seek refuge in You from a heart in prayer that is not humble, an eye over a sin that does not shed tears, and a soul from the world that is not satisfied.”





“O God, prayer is an apple to the eyes of those who love, a comforting pleasure to those who long, an oasis of safety for the fearful, a door of safety for the needy, and a connecting rope for the lost. So open my eyes to realize what You want and love from me, and make prayer a help for me to obey You and a door to become familiar with You and reach your knowledge, O Most Generous of Generous Ones.”





“O God, You have sent down Your great Book so that we may recite it before Your hands and call upon You with it. So open my heart to know the lights of Your Book and become acquainted with its meanings and secrets, and make it my intercessor in Your hands and my comforter on the day I meet You, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.”





“O God, You love the eye that waters from Your fear, so O God, grant it to me. O God, You are the one Lord who gives to those who ask. O God, I present to You my request, which is to grant me humility in prayer, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.”





“O God, I seek refuge in You from a heart that is not submissive, and from a soul that is not satisfied. O God, I have wronged myself greatly, and no one can forgive sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from You, and have mercy on me, for You are the Forgiving, the Merciful. O God, I ask you, O God, that you are the One, the One, the Eternal, the One He begot, but He was not born, and there was no one equal to Him. Please forgive me my sins. Indeed, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful.”





“Oh God, make my heart humble to You. Oh God, our Lord, praise be to You. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth. Praise be to You. You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and those in them. Praise be to You. You are the light of the heavens and the earth and those in them. You are the truth, your word is the truth, your promise is true, your meeting is true, heaven is true, hell is true, and the Hour is true. Oh God, to you I submit. In You I have believed, and in You I have put my trust, and in You I have disputed, and in You I have judged, so forgive me what I have put forward and what I have delayed, what I have concealed and what I have declared, and what You know better than me. There is no god but You.”





“O God, grant us the pleasure of humility in prayer and turn to it so that we may find comfort in it, not in order to be relieved from it. O Lord, O God, forgive us every prayer that we have prayed that is not worthy of the majesty of your face and the greatness of your authority, O God.”





“O God, I extend my hand to You, and in Your presence my desire is great, so accept my repentance, have mercy on the weakness of my strength, forgive my sin, accept my apology, and make for me a share of every good thing, and a path to every good thing with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.”





“O God, I ask you in my prayers and supplications for a blessing by which you purify my heart, remove my distress, forgive my sins, correct my affairs, enrich my poverty, remove my evil, remove my worry and grief, heal my illness, eliminate my debt, relieve my sadness, and gather “With it, I am rejuvenated and my face becomes white with it.”





“O God, I seek Your forgiveness for every obligation You have made obligatory upon me throughout the day and night that I neglected by mistake, intentionally, forgetfulness, or ignorance, O Lord of the Worlds, so forgive me what I have fallen short of and grant me humility in my prayers befitting the majesty of Your Face and the greatness of Your authority, O Lord of the Worlds. You are capable of all things.”





“O God, I ask you with constant humility, and I ask you for pardon and well-being in this world and the hereafter. O God, I ask you for pardon and well-being in my religion, my world, my family, and my money. O God, cover my private parts and secure my splendor. O God, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being assassinated from under me.” ".





“O God, I seek Your forgiveness for every prayer in which there is no humility and for every sin into which I stepped with my feet, or extended my hand to, or contemplated it with my sight, or listened to it with my ear, or uttered it with my tongue, or in which I destroyed what You provided for me, then I sought Your sustenance for my disobedience, and You provided for me, then I sought Your sustenance for my disobedience.” So you covered it for me and I asked you for more, but you did not deny me, and you continue to return to me with your forbearance and benevolence, O the Most Generous of the Generous, O Lord of the Worlds.”





“O God, I seek refuge in You from a heart that is not submissive, and I seek Your forgiveness from every sin I have committed in the white of the day or the black of the night, in public, private, in secret, and in public, while You are looking at me. O God, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, Israfil, and Azrael, protect me from the temptations of the world, guide me to what You love and are pleased with, and make me firm with the firm word.” In this life and in the hereafter, do not lead me astray after you have guided me, and be my helper and helper, a protector and a helper, O Lord of the worlds. You are capable of all things.”





“O God, grant me the ability to stand before You. O God, grant me death while I prostrate to You, O Most Merciful of the Merciful. O God, make me steadfast when I ask the two angels. O God, do not deprive us of the breadth of Your mercy, the fullness of Your grace, the comprehensiveness of Your well-being, and the abundance of Your giving. Do not withhold Your talents from me for my evil, and do not reward me with an ugly thing.” My work, and do not turn away your honorable face from me by your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.”





“O God, give my soul piety and purify it. You are better than those who purify it. You are its protector and master. O God, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is of no use, a heart that is not humbled, a soul that is not satisfied, and a supplication that is not answered. O God, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not done. In You from the evil of what I knew and from the evil of what I did not know. O God, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your grace, the change in Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your wrath.





“O God, we ask you for increased humility, blessings in life, health in the body, abundance in livelihood, repentance before death, testimony at death, forgiveness after death, pardon at the reckoning, safety from torment, and a share of Paradise, and grant us the gaze of your noble face. Oh God, have mercy on our dead and the dead of the monotheists, and heal our sick and the sick of all people.”





“O God, I ask you for an increase in humility and forgiveness, by which you will open my chest, raise my memory, ease my affairs, remove my harm, and remove my affliction with it. You are capable of all things, O Kind, you have taken care of my affairs, so you manage me with the secret of your kindness, and the kindness of your work in all my affairs.” And what I am suffering from, I sought your help in revealing every distress, so make every difficult thing easy for me with your kindness, for making what is difficult for you is easy. Oh God, make for me a wall of your kindness that will prevent me from what harms me and whoever assaults me.





“O God, Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Great Throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, purify my heart from hypocrisy and fill my heart with humility and sincerity. O God, You are the Outward One, for there is nothing above You, and You are the Inner One, for there is nothing below You. The Sender of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion, so separate love and intentions. I seek refuge in You from The evil of everything is that you are taking hold of its corner. You are the first and there is nothing before you, and you are the last and there is nothing after you.”





“O God, we seek Your forgiveness for every prayer without humility. O God, I ask You, O He who is not mistaken by questions, O He who is not distracted by hearing from hearing, O He who is not disturbed by the insistence of pressing people. O God, I seek refuge in You from the effort of affliction, the overtaking of misery, the bad judgment, and the gloating of enemies. O God, I seek Your forgiveness for all A sin that follows heartbreak, causes remorse, withholds sustenance, and rejects supplication. Oh God, open for me the doors of your mercy and bless me from where I did not expect. Oh God, enlighten my path for me, forgive my sins, and grant me what is best for me and what I wish for.





“O God, guide me among those whom You have guided, protect me from among those whom You have pardoned, befriend me among those whom You have taken care of, bless for me what You have given, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. For You decree and no decree will be decreed for You, and He will not humiliate whom you have taken care of. Blessed be our Lord and Most High. O God, benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and increase me.” Knowing, O God, grant me humility in prayer, guide me and guide me, O God, forgive me my sins, and open for me the doors of your mercy, O God, forgive our living and our dead, our present and our absent, our young and our old, our male and our female Give him faith, oh Lord of the Worlds".





“O God, O Converter of hearts, make my heart steadfast in Your religion and grant me humility in prayer and sincerity in intention. O God, O Converter of hearts, direct my heart to obey You. O God, I seek refuge in You from the evil of judgment, from the reach of misery, from the gloating of enemies, and from the effort of affliction, with your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful, have mercy on me and forgive me.” And guide me, for You have power over all things, O Lord of the worlds.”
